What a beautiful place.

Did anyone ever tell you the case of Michael Chan? It involves the Peak; I should have told you so you could seek him out.

I received a letter a few months ago from a woman in Hong Kong. She had accidentally received the mail of Michael Chan, who lived on a road on the Peak (Twin Peak, Twin Crystal, something like that). It was a strange postal mailer with several re-direct stickers on it; it was addressed to me, and I opened it.

Inside was a strange letter, which was addressed to this Michael Chan. The only part visible in the clear plastic was "Dear Scheme Member..."

I wish I still had the letter, but we never opened it, what with the federal laws and all that. I wish that you could find this woman and ask her why she thought Michael Chan from Hong Kong was Michael Chen from Yale. Mostly, I wish this had a deeper story, which I feel certain it must.

I graduated from Yale University in May, and am spending the summer doing research on urban planning processes in Hong Kong. This is my first time in Asia. This is your Hong Kong moment of zen.
